For the most part, Mario is your average 10 year old, he loves to play with his friends and have fun.  However, that is where the similarities to other 10 year olds stop.  You then have the 10yr old that loves to ride and race motorcycles of all kinds.  Whether it be motocross, dirt track, or road racing, he does it all and loves every minute of it.  He is considered to be one of the fastest junior motorcycle racers in the Nation and he will be doing his best to back that up this season by going after multiple National titles.

Mario is not only supported by great sponsors, but also by his family.  His parents have been involved in racing motorcycles all of his life and therefore cemented his love and respect for motorcycles early on.  Mario is a huge part of the Adrenaline Freaks Track Days staff, and he looks forward to the day that he can ride with the "big boys"! The answer to that is coming soon, stay tuned!

USMGP Nationals in Las Vegas

Mario Alvarez II crowned 2006 US Jr. Pocket Bike National Champ for 2nd Year in a row!
-press release-

Tacoma, WA—Ten year-old Giannini Factory racer Mario Alvarez II was crowned Jr. National Pocket Bike Champion at the USMGP Nationals on October 18th, 2006 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, NV.  Mario had an amazing weekend and took home 2 National #1 Plates that weekend by taking two 3rd place finishes to help him secure the following championships.

Junior Super Production National Champion
Junior Open GP National Champion

Mario has been racing since the age of 3 when his father got him started in dirt track.  Sr. himself raced superbikes locally since Mario was just a baby so he has been exposed to road racing all of his life.  Mario’s parents also own Adrenaline Freaks Track Days based out of Seattle, so his exposure to motorcycle roadracing is very extensive.

This last National race signals Mario's last and final pocket bike race as we begin the next chapter of his racing endeavors as we move to the world of big bikes starting with the 2007 season. “As far as what the 2007 season holds for us, we are working on a few deals that may see Mario on a six speed 80cc two-stoke or 150cc four-stroke MotoGP racer along with Mario begining to train on his Honda RS 125", said an excited Sr.

As usual with any type of racing, there are lots of costs and when it comes down to it, racing is expensive and that is where sponsors come in.  Mario is supported by great companies and we are ever so grateful for their continued support and we look to find even more sponsors for the 2007 season, so if there are any interested parties looking at sponsoring Mario they can email us at sponsor@younggunracer.com and feel free to visit his website at www.younggunracer.com or www.marioalvarez.com we’ll send them a very professional sponsorship proposal.

A few words from little Mario...
I would first like to thank God for everything that he has given me. I want to thank my uncle Bill for being my mechanic. I would like to thank my mom and dad for  their tremendous support. I also want to thank all of my sponsors, without them I would not be able to race.
